Paging test

A controlled test that verifies signal creation, routing, delivery, acknowledgement, and escalation. A paging test is the only way to know that the whole route works, because each link — rule, routing, schedule, channel, device, permission — can fail independently and silently. Testing one link proves nothing about the others.
In practice
A team confirms its alert rule fires correctly, but never tests delivery. Three responders have notification permissions revoked by a phone update, and nobody learns this until a real page goes unanswered.
